Support the Passage of the Healthcare Workforce Resilience Act (H.R. 2255)

Please help us send a message to your Members of Congress and the Biden Administration to urge them to help address the critical nurse shortage by addressing the backlog of immigrant visas for foreign-trained nurses eligible to relocate to the United States. Eligible foreign-trained nurses are not currently receiving their immigrant visas because unprecedented processing delays at U.S. embassies and consulates have resulted in a failure to issue immigrant visas. These delays are exacerbating the ongoing nurse shortages across the CHRISTUS Health ministry as well as across the country. Urge Congress to consider legislation to address these shortages, and more immediately, urge the State Department to place registered nurses seeking immigrant visas in the First Tier of the State Department’s current processing priority.
